Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti state has reacted to news circulating online that there there is tacit agreement for him to be the running made of Atiku Abubakar during 2019 general election under the Peoples Democratic Party.

The governor according to Daily Post made this known through,Lere Olayinka, Fayose's special assistant on Public Communications and New Media.

Lere Olayinka was quoted to have said that Fayose who is also the chairman of the PDP Governors Forum will announce his plan to run for the Presidency in October.

"I saw the report on Saharareporters like every other person; that will be one of the many mysteries of Sahareporters. As I’m talking to you, there is nothing like that.

“Fayose will officially declare his intention to run for the presidency latest by October. This issue of Fayose vying for presidency with Atiku is not correct,” Olayinka said.

Legit.ng had earlier reported that Sahara Reporters claimed that the governor of Ekiti had been allegedly chosen to be the running made of Atiku Abubaka who is expected to defect the the People's Democratic Party.
