Buhari eager to return to Nigeria – Governor Ortom speaks after London trip
- The Benue state governor has said President Buhari is eager to return to Nigeria
- Samuel Ortom said the president asked him questions pertaining security in Benue state
- He also said the president will come back once he completes his treatment in London
The Benue state governor Samuel Ortom on Thursday, July 27, said President Muhammadu Buhari is eager to return to Nigeria.
Ortom said Buhari is eager to return once he completes his medical treatment in London.
He also said that the president is showing 'great' improvement in his health which he says is an indication that God is answering the prayers of millions of Nigerians over Buhari's condition.

In a statement signed by his chief press secretary, Terver Akase, said President Buhari was in high spirits during the Nigerian Governor's Forum visit to him at the Abuja House in London.
He further added that the president cracked jokes with the governors who visited.
“God has answered our prayers. It is one thing to pray and it is another for God to answer; so let us continue to pray. Our God is God of the beginning and the end. As He is healing Mr President, it is our duty to pray so that God will consummate the healing so that our President can come back.
“He is eager to return and is very grateful to Nigerians for praying for him and he wishes us well," Ortom said.

Ortom added that the president showed concern over the current security situation in Benue state and how he (the governor) was addressing them.
Legit.ng earlier reported that seven governor met with President Buhari in London on Wednesday, July 26.

The governors who met Buhari as part of the Nigerian Governors' Forum were led by Governor Abdulaziz Yari of Zamfara state.
Also, the Imo state governor Rochas Okorocha who met with the president, said in an interview that, Buhari was doing great and may likely return to Nigerian within two weeks of their visit.
