Burial date for veteran actor Adebayo Faleti announced

- Following several discrepancies about his real age, the family of late veteran actor Adebayo Faleti have confirmed his age to be between 92 - 95 years

- This puts to bed rumours that he was in his 80’s as at the time of his death

- His burial date has also been announced

There have been a little bit of controversy surrounding the real age of veteran actor Adebayo Faleti who passed on recently.

Various sources have reported that Pa Faleti was born in 1930 making him 87 years old at the time of his death. Wikipedia lists his date of birth as 1921 making him 96.

His children have also corroborated Wikipedia’s date stating that their father was between 92 – 95 years old at the time of his death.

Also, Pa Faleti would be buried on September 8, in Ibadan. May his soul continue to rest in peace.

Late Chief Faleti happened to be one of the pioneer staff of the first television station in Africa, Western Nigeria Television (WNTV). The deceased was responsible for the translation of Nigeria’s National Anthem form English to Yoruba. He also translated speeches being made by military president of Nigeria Ibrahim Babangida and Chief Ernest Shonekan, Head of National Interim Government of Nigeria, from English to Yoruba.
