Nigerians react as Senator Dino Melaye seek N19m funds to help boy paralysed by Boko Haram (photos)
Nigerians have come out to blast controversial Nigerian Senator Dino Melaye for coming out to publicly seek N19 million funds for boy who was paralysed by Boko Haram three years ago.
Legit.ng earlier reported that 6-year-old Ali Ahmadu was paralysed three years ago during the Boko Haram kidnapping of girls in Chibok, Borno state. He was just three years old when this unfortunate incident happened.
The boy was said to have ran out of the house and fell while running for dear life when a Boko Haram bike man rode on his back. Ever since little Ali has been unable to walk until he met an NGO who is ready to take him to Dubai for corrective spinal cord surgery.

The boy who has been brought to Abuja from Borno state is set to be present at the press conference which will help raise funds for his surgery on Friday, July 21.
Legit.ng exclusively spoke with a representative of Global Initiative for Peace, Love and Care (GIPLC), Nuhu Fulani Kwajafa and he exclusively disclosed that the fund raising program is going to be chaired by Senator Dino Melaye.
On his part on Thursday, July 20, the senator took to his Instagram handle to post a picture with Ali and urged Nigerians to help donate to his recovery. Melaye disclosed that: “Ali Ahmadu 6 years old Boko Haram victim in my house today preparing for fund raising tomorrow to operate his Spinal Cord injury. Please show him some Love.”

Following his post on social media, Nigerians have come out to attack the senator saying he should use part of his acquired funds to treat the boy while others praised him for his kind gesture.
