He also used the opportunity to dispel rumours that he is about to decamp to the Peoples Democratic Party.
The senator was given his form by the organizing secretary of the APC, Senator Osita Izunaso, who advised Senator Uba and all other aspirants to eschew violence as the primary election approaches.
Uba said: “We are 40 senators including myself 41 of us, we are here to pick up my nomination form for the governorship of Anambra state which is for November 18, 2017. That is why I am here.
“If you look at all of us that are running, who has the best chance? Who has the experience? I have been a governor in Anambra state before, two, I have been senator two times. I have my structure in the state. I don't see why I can win the election.
“Those that are running, I have not heard anything they have done, they have not won election and they are not prepared to win election. We need somebody with capacity and i know that we have that capacity to remove the sitting governor," Uba said.
Legit.ng earlier reported that Uba dismissed speculations that he was leaving his party for the PDP.
Senator Uba reacting to media reports that some former chieftains of the PDP will return to the PDP following the recent Supreme Court ruling which settled the protracted dispute in the former ruling party said he was not going back to the party.
