Nigerian Airforce commences 2017 recruitment exercise
- The Nigerian Airforce announced the recruitment for 2017 and added the requirements for applicants
- The security body also warned applicants not to pay any money for the exercise
The Nigerian Airforce has announced its plan for enlistment into the direct short service for 2017 asking citizens to commence registration for the recruitment on May 18 through its website.
According to the security body, an applicant must possess a Bachelor’s degree with second class upper division or a Higher National Diploma with an Upper Credit.
However, the applicants, according to a copy of the announcement obtained by Legit.ng, must have these degrees in Mathematics, English, Guidance and Counselling, Physics, Chemistry and Computer Science.

Also, those with degrees in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Peace and Conflict Resolution, Sociology, Psychology, Physical and Health Education can apply.
The requirement further showed that the Nigerian Airforce needs medical doctors and those in the medical field.
The force warned Nigerians not to pay any for registration as it is free.
Meanwhile, an artillery piece being sneaked into Sambisa Forest by Boko Haram was recently bombed by Nigerian Airforce fighter jets.

A statement by airforce spokesman, Air Commodore Olatokunbo Adesanya on Friday, April 28, said the artillery piece, which was concealed under a tree, was sighted by a NAF Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) aircraft while on daytime patrol in the Sambisa general area.
