Fear grips APC chieftains over planned shake-up
- Many top members of the APC are worried that they may lose their positions in the party's upcoming national convention expected to hold not later than April this year

- Those who are worried are reportedly from the North-West, South-East and South-South geo-political zones and those who are at loggerheads with the governors in their states
Top members of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) are currently worried over their positions in the party as reports of planned shake up of the party have surfaced.

Daily Trust reports that some members of the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) are worried that they might lose their positions due to plans to replace them during the upcoming APC national convention.
The report says some of the members who are perceived to be disloyal to the party will be replaced with more loyal people.
But most of those who are worried are reportedly those from the North-West, South-East and South-South geo-political zones who are at loggerheads with the governors in their states.

Daily Trust reports that the delay in the conduct of the convention since last year could be attributed to such fear of the unknown.
Recall that on Wednesday, January 18, APC’s national publicity secretary Bolaji Abdullahi said in a statement in Abuja that the convention would hold by April this year.
