Fayose promises to work for PDP's growth
- Governor Ayodele Fayose emerged as the new chairman of the PDP Governors' Forum

- He promised to work for the greatness of the party ahead of 2019
Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti has emerged as the chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Governors’ Forum.
In a statement by Lere Olayinka who is the spokesperson to the governor, he said the governor replaced Dr Olusegun Mimiko who is the outgone chairman.

Hon Seriake Dickson who is the governor of Bayelsa made this announcement on Thursday, January 19 in Abuja.
Dickson said Fayose’s selection was a collective decision as not only was he the most senior governor but a dedicated person.
Present at the meeting were other governors and the national chairman of the Caretaker Committee of the Party, Senator Ahmed Makarfi, the chairman Board of Trustee, BOT of the Party, Senator Wali Jibril and the leadership of the Party in the National Assembly, Senator Ike Ekweremadu.
They described Fayose as “a real party man who would boost the growth and development of the Party.”
Fayose promised not to let the party down and described it as a call to service.

He said “he was out to pull down the wall of Jericho surrounding the party with a promise to embark on total mobilization of party members nationwide ahead of the 2019 General elections.
He assured that the Party would work very hard to reclaim its lost States and as well formed the government at the centre come 2019 .”
