Fani-Kayode’s former wife appointed into Ghana President-elect's cabinet

- She was appointed alongside 12 others in preparation to the forth coming inauguration of the President-elect
A former wife to Nigerian politician Femi Fani-Kayode has been appointed into Ghana President-elect’s cabinet Nana Akufo-Addo.
Akufo-Addo appointed Saratu Atta as his personal assistant in preparation for his inauguration as president on Saturday, January 7.
A statement released on Akufo-Addo’s website said Atta served had served as an executive aide to the president-elect since 2009.

Atta, a graduate of Universty of Warwick, United Kingdom worked as a Securities Trader at First Securities Discount House in Lagos, the statement said.
The statement also said Atta was appointed NPP Campaign Secretary in 2008, and has been Office Manager and Executive Assistant to the President-Elect since 2009.
Atta got married to Fani-Kayode, a former minister of aviation in 1987.
They were divorced in 1989 and have a child, Folake together.
Also appointed were Brigadier General Emmanuel Okyere, National Security Advisor; Joshua Kyeremeh, national security coordinator; Akosua Frema Osei-Opare, chief of staff; Nana Bediatuo Asante, secretary to the president and Victor Newman, director of research

Others include: Francis Asenso-Boakye, political assistant to the president and deputy chief of staff; Samuel Abu Jinapor, deputy chief of staff; Ambassador Hassan Ahmed, director of state protocol; Eugene Arhin, director of communications; Lord Oblitey Commey, director Of operations and Clara Napaga Sulemana Tia, presidential staffer
