BREAKING: Presidency denies sack of Magu as EFCC boss
The presidency has denied that Ibrahim Magu, the acting chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has been sacked.
Garba Shehu, the spokesman of President Muhammadu Buhari in a series of tweets on Saturday, December 31, said,” no report has been made available to the Presidency by the Attorney General of the federation over the matter.”

The Guardian newspaper had earlier reported that Magu had been removed as the EFCC chairman following the attorney-general of the federation (AGF) and minister of justice, Abubakar Malami (SAN) submitting a report of his investigations into allegations against the EFCC boss to the president.
Magu had allegedly been redeployed back to Nigerian Police Force (NPF) to pave way for a new person to be presented by President Muhammadu Buhari as the nominee to head the anti-graft agency before the Senate.
