Soyinka returning to Nigeria to tear US green card (Photo)
A Facebook user has posted a photo showing Nobel Laureate Professor Wole Soyinka purportedly heading back to Nigeria after Donald Trump won US presidential election on Wednesday, November 9.
The picture acquired by Legit.ng showed the Facebook user taking a snap in the aisle of a plane next to man spotting Soyinka’s famous gray afro hairdo.
Although Legit.ng could not immediately confirm the date when the picture was taken, the Facebook user announced in the post “Fellow Nigerians!!! Prof and I are on our back to Nigeria.”

Recall that Soyinka had said on Wednesday, November 2 while giving a speech to students of Oxford University in England that he would destroy his Green card in the eventuality of a Trump presidency but that decision will have to wait.
He had said: “If in the unlikely event he does win, the first thing he’ll do is to say [that] all green-card holders must reapply to come back into the US. Well, I’m not waiting for that."

He has however added now that he will not destroy his green card yet even after Donald Trump won the US election on Wednesday, November 9. He will now do so when Trump is sworn in on January 20, 2017.
This picture seems to suggest that he is seriously preparing for that day which is still 72 days away.
