A top member of the opposition party who reportedly spoke on the condition of anonymity, however, said it was unnecessary for certain people to be worried over the meeting.

It was also reportedly discovered that the former vice president has not yet filed his appeal at the Supreme Court, following the ruling of the Presidential Election Petitions Tribunal.

The source reportedly said: “As at today (Wednesday, September 18) Atiku and the PDP are yet to file their appeal at the Supreme Court. Our legal team is still studying the judgment of the lower court.

“We have only 14 days from the day the judgment of the tribunal was delivered to appeal. The 14 days will elapse next Wednesday (September 25).

“So we still have up to 6 days to act. And I believe everything is going to be fine. It is not late yet. We still have time to do that.”

Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, the national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), declared that Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and the PDP would suffer terrible defeat if they decide to appeal the tribunal's judgment at the Supreme Court.

Oshiomhole said President Muhammadu Buhari would defeat Atiku and his party if they decide to go to the world court or Supreme Court to challenge the ruling of the tribunal on the 2019 presidential election.
