Davido reacts as Atiku calls him the reigning king of music

It is a proud moment for Nigerian singer, Davido, who has been tagged the reigning king of music by Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

OBO seemed thrilled as he shared the video of the billionaire businessman praising him for being a successful musician. It also seemed as if Atiku was comparing the young singer to Fela as he stated that while he was younger, the Afrobeat pioneer was his favourite musician but these days, Davido is taking over.

Recall that the singer recently sold out the 02 Arena in London where he reportedly performed for 20,000 fans. Therefore attributing him the royal status might not be a completely out of a place.

Proud to be recognised by the presidential candidate, the singer shared the clip of Atiku praising him on social media and stated that the incoming president knows what is up.
